Ball roasting technology is probably the oldest industrially used roasting system for nuts. But even today this technology convinces with the best aroma development compared to other roasting processes for nuts or oilseeds.
As a sphere, the roasting ball represents the ideal body for the even application of heating energy to the nuts. Inside the roasting ball, the roasted product is gently moved by a mixing system and thus experiences optimum energy transfer at all times through the heating energy by hot air.
A key advantage of the UBRS roasting system is the accessibility of the roasting ball. The system is equipped with a pivoting front section that, at the end of roasting, allows the nuts to be conveyed into the cooler which is installed directly under the machine. The pivoting front door can be opened for maintenance and cleaning. This allows inspection and any necessary cleaning of the inner roasting ball.
The roasting plant can be heated using either fossil fuels or saturated steam. Even heating with electrical energy is possible.
